As our team continue to grow, we have a unique opportunity for a Breast & Melanoma General Surgeon to join the department at Whangārei Hospital.

Northland DHB is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and holds stewardship for equitable health outcomes for Māori as Tāngata Whenua as the highest priority.

This niche specialty is covered by a small close-knit team of physicians that are a part of the wider General Surgery department. We are a friendly, supportive and professional team determined to provide a high standard of clinical practice and expertise. There is also an on-call roster component that our surgeons participate in.

We are looking for someone with post fellowship experience that can bring proven knowledge of modern skills and techniques within Melanoma and Breast surgery. Ideally they will be a team-player with the ability to adapt and work well with our multi-disciplinary departments across the hospital.

To be considered you must have or be eligible for vocational (or locum tenens – special purpose) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in a General Surgery scope of practice. For more information about the MCNZ registration process please visit – www.mcnz.org.nz
