Dr Frances Colgan is an interventional radiologist at Canterbury District Health Board and a senior lecturer at the University of Otago.  She completed her undergraduate medical training and MSc in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK, and radiology and interventional radiology training in the north of England followed by a fellowship in Auckland City hospital.  Her clinical interests include vascular radiology and endovascular treatment of ischaemic stroke.  Frances volunteers with RadAid International, an NGO which provides interventional radiology training in low and middle income countries.
