The Definitive Surgical Trauma Care (DSTC) course is recommended by The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons for all Consultant Surgeons and final year trainees.
The Definitive Anaesthetic Trauma Care (DATC) course will provide multidisciplinary training to consultant anaesthetists and anaesthetic fellows (post-exam) involved in trauma.
The Definitive Perioperative Nurses Trauma Care (DPNTC) and Definitive Anaesthetic Assistant Trauma Care (DAATC) courses are held in conjunction with the DSTC and DATC courses. They are aimed at instrument/scout (scrub/circ) nurses and anaesthetic nurses or technicians with a minimum of two years’ recent clinical experience in a perioperative setting, allowing them to develop their knowledge and skills in a multidisciplinary environment. For perioperative nurses, the DPNTC course provides equivalent hours towards annual continuing professional development (CPD) as outlined by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

DPNTC Course for nurses – $915 NZ plus GST ($1,052.25)
DPNTC Course for anaesthetist techs– $915 NZ plus GST ($1,052.25)
Once we have received your application, NZAGS will invoice registrants in March 2024.
Written cancellation will be accepted up to 8 weeks prior to the course with 80% of the fee being reimbursed.
