Registration is now open for the 5th to the 7th August 2024 course. Please Note: Registering does not guarantee a place as we are often over subscribed. You will be emailed to confirm if you have a place. Currently both Surgeons and Nurses are oversubscribed.
The Definitive Surgical Trauma Care (DSTC) course is recommended by The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons for all Consultant Surgeons and final year trainees.
The Definitive Anaesthetic Trauma Care (DATC) course will provide multidisciplinary training to consultant anaesthetists and anaesthetic fellows (post-exam) involved in trauma.
The Definitive Perioperative Nurses Trauma Care (DPNTC) and Definitive Anaesthetic Assistant Trauma Care (DAATC) courses are held in conjunction with the DSTC and DATC courses. They are aimed at instrument/scout (scrub/circ) nurses and anaesthetic nurses or technicians with a minimum of two years’ recent clinical experience in a perioperative setting, allowing them to develop their knowledge and skills in a multidisciplinary environment. For perioperative nurses, the DPNTC course provides equivalent hours towards annual continuing professional development (CPD) as outlined by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
