MIHI 501 RACS COURSE: APPLICATION OF HUI PROCESS and MEIHANA MODEL TO CLINICAL PRACTICE

Course Cost: $1500.00 (including GST)

Time and Venue: Online study and one on-site training seminar in Christchurch on the 13 May 2024. Access to the online modules from March 2024.

Contents: This course is open to trainees or fellows of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons only. Our primary goal is to instil confidence in health practitioners when applying Hauora Māori competencies, with a particular focus on the Hui Process and Meihana Model. This course equips you to implement these models effectively when working alongside Māori patients and their whānau, ultimately promoting positive engagement, providing appropriate care and treatment, and advocating for Māori health equity. This course comprises modules taught via online learning, one Hauora Māori Workshop held in Christchurch and a Transformative Practice Module.
