Call for Nominations to the New Zealand Association of General Surgeons Executive
Early December a call will go out to members regarding any Executive Committee vacancies for the coming year, and nominations are now being sought for three positions beginning 6 April 2024.
Over the next few years the Executive Committee will have a focus on the Planned Care role out and Workforce issues. We are looking for any surgeon wishing to work on solutions.
Please take a turn to step onto the Executive, even if it’s just for a short term. The Executive has 4 meetings per year – 1 face to face meeting at the ASM usually held in March/April, and 3 quarterly ZOOM meetings (the 4th Zoom meeting may become a face to face if needed). In addition, there is often correspondence and papers that get distributed for feedback.
The next annual general meeting will be at the Napier Memorial Conference Centre, Napier, 6 April 2024, at 1.00pm at the Annual Scientific Meeting.
Nominations are being sought to be ratified at this meeting. You can see the full conference programme here. Please nominate a member from your department (with permission), or yourself if you want to become involved by using the appropriate NZAGS-Nomination-Form-2024
